About

Eve Michelle Devitt is a New York City-based actor, artist and human rights activist. Being born and raised in Idaho, Eve’s life and work has always been driven by resistance and community. She seeks to make people feel seen in her work and uncover things within others that they didn’t even know was there. A proud lesbian, Eve also aspires to expand the breadth and depth of lesbian stories that are seen in our media.

As an actor growing up in a relatively small city, Eve quickly learned the value of her community. As lucky as she was to grow up in a place with a theater scene, there wasn’t much support at all from outside of its tight-knit cast and crew. She saw how each theater company would come together to support each other both in the house and backstage, always willing to help fulfill any and all creative visions or goals.

Eve is one of hundreds of queer artists from Idaho who grew up just in time for our state to try to make our lives a living hell. As a young trans girl, she lived under constant threat of being declared illegal by her own state government. Using what she learned as an actor, Eve was able to work with anyone willing to fight against injustice to help inspire others just like her, prove that resistance is possible and help her community in any way she could.

Today, Eve carries this same fire burning within her in her acting. Everything she does, she does with passion and with the hope that she can and will show others that they are not alone.
